Morning in the Couple’s Garden

The story of this garden is terribly romantic, designed for a couple very much in love. The design is absolutely inspiring, but the best part was existing through a door in the back wall into a gondola. A lady in her sixties sang us a traditional Suzhou folk song about the twelve flowers of the year as she rowed us down the canal back to the entrance.

We couldn’t take pictures while we had the microphones on, though, so just a few until after lunch…
